ANNUAL REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30[TH] SEPTEMBER 2021
The Trustees present their report with the financial statements, prepared using receipts and payments, for the year ended 30[th] September 2021.
## **Structure, Governance and Management**
The charity was registered on 23[rd] March 2021, and is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (‘CIO’) 4 charity trustees manage the affairs of the CIO.
## **Objectives and Activities**
The objects of the CIO are to promote and uphold the principles of the Christian Faith and to relieve poverty, sickness, need or hardship to any person without prejudice in Sierra Leone, or other parts of the world as the trustees may from time to time consider appropriate.
## **Achievements, Performance and Public Benefit**
The Covid-19 pandemic has undoubtedly affected the work of Maranatha Christian Outreach Ministries throughout this financial accounting period. Due to strict national lockdowns and restrictions in Sierra Leone the CIO did not have the opportunity to undertake the village ministries in the form of large gatherings to watch the Jesus film. However, the CIO were able to continue with the small group training sessions within many of the villages and communities in which they have been working.
Over previous years, the CIO have been raising funds to buy a vehicle to make traveling to remote villages more cost effective and safer. It is pleased to report that the vehicle arrived in Freetown in April 2021, and it will be driven to Kailahun in November when two of the UK trustees visit.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions the UK trustees have been unable to visit during this accounting period. Now that the travel restrictions have been lifted as mentioned previously two of the trustees will be vising Kailahun from 11[th] to 27[th] November. During this trip they will release the vehicle to the care of Pastor Zacharia Ken Fullah who is the coordinator of the work in Sierra Leone. They will also undertake some monitoring and evaluation work and some auditing of the accounts as well as visiting some of the villages and communities that the CIO’s local teams have been working in. They will also deliver some training for the Transformed International programme which is facilitated by the CIO in Kailahun District.
In August the CIO secured a property to rent in Kailahun for use as an office and accomodation for visiting teams. The office will also be used for training and other local team activities. Pastor Fullah and His wife will relocate and will live in the property.
In the coming year the CIO is looking forward to recommencing the showing of the Jesus film now that Covid restrictions are being eased.

## **Financial Review**
The CIO has free reserves of £1,673 at the year end and has sufficient funds to meet its liabilities.
