## **TRUSTEES’ REPORT**
The trustees are pleased to present their annual report and financial statements for the Charity for the period 22 March 2021 to 31 March 2022.
## **BACKGROUND**
The Charity was registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 22 March 2021. Its first year of operation involved preparing to take on the responsibilities of the charity of the same name (charity number 1148067).
The reason for the establishment of the CIO, and transfer of assets from charity number 1148067, relates to the development of a club house and other responsibilities that are being taken on. The CIO model is a more appropriate constitutional arrangement for a charity with such responsibilities.
The Charity has adopted the same objects as the charity it has replaced, namely:
“The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of children and young people living in, but not restricted to, Rastrick and surrounding areas, by the provision of facilities for playing football.”
The period 22 March 2021 to 31 March 2022 saw no financial transactions for the Charity (number 1193874), but charity number 1148067 transferred its assets to the Club on 01April 2022, following the approval of the Charity Commission under the provisions of Section 105 of the Charities Act 2011.
## **STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT**
The overall management and governance of the Charity is carried out by a committee of volunteer trustees.
The trustees have responsibility for ensuring the Charity is properly funded through subscriptions and other means.
## **ACTIVITIES**
We provide training facilities and run football teams that participate in the Huddersfield and District Junior Football League.
Our emphasis is on providing young people with the opportunity to play football in a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages player development, but prioritises participation over winning. Young people are welcome, irrespective of ability.
We welcome players, parents and supporters from all backgrounds, as defined by the protected characteristics within the Equality Act 2010.
We have ambitious plans to develop the facilities available for the young people who participate in football activities, including the development of a club house which we anticipate will be fully complete by March 2023. The new club house will provide changing rooms, toilets, kitchen and meeting facilities and we gratefully acknowledge the support of

the Football Foundation, Rastrick Local and the volunteers who have helped make this possible through funding and other support.
## **INCOME AND EXPENDITURE**
The profit and loss account for the period 22 March 2021 to 31 March 2022 and the balance sheet are included as an appendix. The summary of income and expenditure for the year is as follows:

The total incoming resources from charitable activities and investment income for the period 22 March 2021 to 31 March 2022 were £0 (Nil).
## **Expenditure**
Total expenditure for the period 22 March 2021 to 31 March 2022 was £0 (Nil).
## **EXPRESSION OF APPRECIATION**
We should like to express our appreciation to the many volunteers and local businesses that support the Charity and make possible the activities we provide in the community; the Charity simply could not do what it does without them.
