This may be because their current Healthcare Trust are unable to provide the treatment required and therefore getting treatment required may involve additional travel and treatment costs. The main activities of the Foundation to date have focussed on initial fundraising and co-ordination with University of Hertfordshire to identify a number of suitable candidates who may be eligible to apply for The JAM Foundation bursary. **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** **TAR** December 2022 3 The policy on eligibility and award of bursaries by The JAM Foundation is set out in a Donation agreement between the JAM Foundation and the University of Hertfordshire. The award is open to students who meet one of the following criteria: - A young person aged 18-24 who meets the definition of careleaver as defined by Student Finance England You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - A young person aged 18-24 who is care-experienced but does not meet the definition of care-leaver as defined by Student Finance England - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. In addition to these criteria, applicants will only be eligible for the award if they have a household income below £25k as declared to Student Finance England. ## Section D Achievements and performance **TAR** December 2022 4 ## Section D Achievements and erformance p **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** The JAM Foundation was entered onto the Register of Charities on 19 March 2021. During the year the charity raised £4,000 comprising 2 private donations which were received on 21 March 2022.
