## **Objectives and Activities** 

The Object of the Discover Network (TDN) is, for the public benefit, the advancement of the Christian faith in the United Kingdom and the world as the charity trustees may from time to time decide. 

## **Public Benefit** 

The trustees are aware of the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in the advancement of religion for the public benefit and have given due consideration to it in their administration of the charity. 

TDN exists to advance the Christian faith, and provides a benefit to the public by: 

- Enabling people to encounter faith using Discovery Bible Studies (DBS) 

- Equipping faith leaders with training and mentoring 

- Offering creative ways to enable people to engage with the Bible 

- Mobilising prayer 

- Developing resources which allow people to engage with faith 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

## **Discover Network** 

- Running online and in-person training sessions for groups interested in running DBS both in the UK and overseas including train-the-trainer sessions for various nations. 

- Continuing to mentor leaders worldwide who are onwardly starting DBS groups, training new leaders and mentoring emerging leaders 

- Hosting Introduction to DBS meetings with interested individuals and partner organisations 

- Running DBS groups online and in-person 

- Community engagement 

## **Trustees** 

Lucy Bolster stepped down as Trustee in January 2025 to pursue other activities. Ron Treby was appointed unanimously to replace her. 

## **Financial Review** 

TDN entered the year with surpluses in both the General and Flourish funds. Fundraising in the year included cash income from events and grants from Stewardship services. 

Unrestricted project funding was used during the year to support the ongoing travel, hospitality 

and general expenses of disciple-makers. 

Income carried over for the Flourish project raised in 2023-2024 was supplemented with 2024-2025 income to supporting discipleship amongst women. The Flourish Fund ended the year with a negative balance. General Fund surplus was transferred to cover this prior to start of the next financial year’s books. 

Two separate grants to fund the work of the Discover app were made to TDN in 2024-2025. These were disbursed to enable development of new languages in the app. 

The trustees are confident that TDN will continue as a going concern.

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The Discover Network is constituted as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) whose only voting members are its Charity Trustees. It is governed by a constitution. 

The management of the CIO is the responsibility of the Trustees who are appointed by resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the Charity Trustees under the terms of the constitution.
