ANNUAL REPORT 2022 - 2023
Trust Organisaton and Development
The new electric narrowboat experienced it’s first full season (April to October) after Covid – 19 restrictions. A new website was launched which included on-line booking facilities thus reducing administration time. During the season several new groups were welcomed on board.
Volunteers
The Trust maintained a constant level of volunteers throughout the season with new recruits gaining valuable experience handling the boat, working with other volunteers and meeting various types of user groups. All trips were crewed satisfactorily.
Hargreaves II
The new boat performed well over the season with only a few minor problems which were quickly resolved. Improvements to the access ramp were completed but a longer term solution needs to be investigated before commencement of the next season. Hull blacking will be required before next season.
Financial
The final payment of the new boat was made and a small excess of income over expenditure was recorded. The amount received as donations for trips remained constant and donations to the Tea Fund increased slightly. Bank balances remained healthy.
