The World Anaesthesia Society is a specialist society, based in the UK, for anaesthetic practitioners with an interest in the provision of anaesthesia and peri-operative care to patients in low resource environments. The Society supports the improvement of of this care through a variety of means including research and education, both directly and through grant giving.

Objects: The Objects Of The Society Are, For The Public Benefit, To Preserve And Protect Public Health, In Particular But Not Exclusively By:a) Supporting Efforts To Improve The Provision Of Anaesthesia And Peri-Operative Care To Patients In Low Resource Environments In Such Ways As The Trustees Determine;b) Promoting Scientific Research Relating To Anaesthesia And Peri-Operative Care And Disseminate The Useful Results Of Such Research And By The Provision Of Grants And Awards;c) Advancing The Education And Training In The Field Of Anaesthesia And Peri-Operative Care Through Seminars, Publications, Social Media, Workshops, And Conferences
