We strongly believe that our

## **OBJECTIVES AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF NIKO NAWE:**
Niko Nawe charity was created to prevent and relieve poverty among less privileged children, who are under the age of 18, living in East African countries (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi), by providing them with school fees, scholastic materials, clothing and all the necessary support that is needed to prevent or relieve poverty, which they could not otherwise afford due to destitution. As such, Niko Nawe has managed to run two projects (one in Uganda and another one in Burundi) since its inception back in 2021. However, for the purposes of clarity, it is important to note that both projects happened in our second financial year even though the campaigns to fund them commenced in our first financial year.

As a result, we were able to raise enough funds for our two projects which happened in Uganda and Burundi. 1 ANNUAL REPORT FOR NIKO NAWE
## **GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT:**
## OUR MEETINGS:
At Niko Nawe, we hold our board meetings four times a year. During these meetings, we discuss the previous, current, and future developments of the charity and a vote is always cast at the end of our discussions to decide on the direction we choose to take. Our previous meeting in the financial year 17/03/2021 – 05/04/2022 led to fruitful results – we managed to review our fundraising methods, we drew priorities in terms of where our intervention was needed the most and what type of help suited which society. Consequently, in our subsequent financial year we managed to run two successful projects in two countries (Uganda and Burundi).
## NEW TRUSTEES:
We intend to get more trustees on board according to the needs of the charity. Whenever recruit new trustees/volunteers, we will make sure that they all undergo an orientation to enlighten them on their legal obligations under the charity law - operating under the guidelines of the charity constitution, the decision-making process, the recent financial performance of the charity, the recent projects, and the future developments. These new members will be encouraged to attend external training events relevant to develop their skills and gain experience relevant to their roles and responsibilities.
