Overview
The Quran Foundation UK remains steadfast in its mission to promote the message of the Quran across multiple languages. Through our dedicated initiatives, we continue to expand access to Quranic literature, ensuring individuals worldwide can engage with its teachings in a meaningful way.
Distribution and Accessibility
A cornerstone of our work is the dissemination of Mawahibur Rahman Manzoom Tarjuman Quran , the first complete poetic translation of the Quran in Urdu. Authored by Maulana Mohammad Habibullah Asri, this remarkable work has been widely praised for preserving the Quran’s meaning while making it more engaging and accessible to Urdu-speaking audiences.
Over the past year, we have successfully distributed both printed and digital copies to selected libraries and booksellers across India. Additionally, copies have been provided upon request, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from recipients. To further enhance accessibility, the book is now available online through Darussalam, with plans to introduce it on Amazon soon, broadening its reach to a global audience.
We are also working closely with developers to create a mobile application featuring Quranic recitation and audio playback. This initiative aims to support individuals who may struggle with reading Urdu script, ensuring wider accessibility to this invaluable resource.
Strategy and Outreach
Our trustees have developed a comprehensive outreach strategy to strengthen our presence both within the UK and internationally. This includes the successful launch of pilot distribution schemes in India and the establishment of key partnerships to advance our mission. Moving forward, we plan to:
-
Conduct targeted fundraising initiatives.
-
Engage with communities through awareness programs.
-
Enhance our digital presence to maximize impact.
Achievements and Engagements
-
Mawahibur Rahman Manzoom Tarjuman Quran was showcased at the National Urdu Book Fair in May 2023 (Mysore) and 2024 (Delhi), increasing public awareness and engagement.
-
In March 2022, we hosted a successful fundraising event in Birmingham, attended by religious scholars, community leaders, and supporters. This event significantly boosted financial support and strengthened our presence within Muslim communities in the UK and beyond.
-
We maintain active engagement with our supporters through social media platforms, fostering a wider reach and continued engagement.
Financial Sustainability
Our activities are primarily funded through public donations, business contributions, book sales, and fundraising events. Recognizing potential financial risks, we have implemented contingency measures to address funding shortfalls. We remain optimistic about the continued generosity of our donors and the support of strategic partners who share our vision.
Governance and Leadership
Our trustees remain actively engaged, ensuring they are well-informed on ongoing projects, policy developments, and strategic initiatives. While in-person meetings have been limited, they remain committed to making informed decisions that serve the best interests of the charity and the communities it supports.
