The Charity was created on 15 Marth 2021 and thls report refiects the Charfty'5 second
pertod of operations as a stsndalone entlty. The foodbank began In late 2018 as part
of the Notting Hill Methodist Church, whlch continues to allow the Charity to operate
out of its premlses and Is supportlve of tts operatlons.

The purpose of the Charlty Is to provlde rellef from flnandal hardshlp amongst the
people In the Kenslngton and Chelsea (London) and the surroundlng area or In other
parts of the UK In such ways as the Trustees from tlme-to-tlme thlnk flt, In partlcular
but not exdusively by:
(a) provldlng emergenry food, essentlal tolletrfes and household Items to Indlvlduals
and familles In need andlor for dlstribution by charities or other organlsatlons
worklng to prevent or relieve poverty, and
(b) suth other means, Includlng (but not Ilmited to) the provlslon of support or
signpostlng to relevant Infomatlon and other advlsory servlces to help address
underlylng causes of food poverty.

The f¢y)dbank seeks to help those faclng food poverty In Kenslngton and Chelsea
(London) and the Rurroundlng ar•a. by:
(a) Provldlng erneryen￿ food parcels, nomially vla a referral system In partnershlp
wlth local agendes,
(b) Provldlng essentlal tolletries to those in need and
{cl Slgnpostlng and referfng dlents to local support agenaes to help address the
mot causes of food poverty.

Current Year Inltlatlve#
To aid the foodbank's expanded vision of becomlng a services hub for dients, the
foodbank secured th￿e multi-year grants. For 2-3 years, these restricted grants wlll
lund an on-slte advlce serv1￿, plus staffing to help wlth strateglc development as well
as recruiting, training and managing a larger volunteer force. Over the year, the
foodbank has developed a dose worklng ￿latiOnShIp wlth Citizens Advlce Kensington
& Chelsea, which has particular strengths in helping dients wlth managir*9 debt and in
navlgatlng the benefit5. System. Those are two of the fartors most commonly Ilnked to
food poverty In our community.
In furtherance of core operations. partnerships wlth local schools and buslnesses are
belng strengthened. Intended to ralse awareness in the communlty as well as Increase
donatlons and assistsnce with warehouse stock.
There has also been a need for MO￿ fvnds to purd)ase food stock. Whlle the foodbank
wldened the giving platfomis avallable to donors and saw an uptick In donatlons, the
was also an increased need for food par￿1$ as well as a rise in food costs.
Going forward, the foodbank wlll look to increase both Its core servlce of provldlng food
parcels as well as asslstlng clients by sign-posting and referring to local services. In
order to do so, as well as to p￿pa￿ for continuing some of the efforts currentty
supported by grants, fundraislng and communications will continue to be a priorlty. In
partlcular, plans are being developed to create a more dynamic communications
strategy In the coming year, with a focus on using It to grow the volunteer base. This
wlll enable the foodbank to serve an even greater number of cllents and expand the
services It offers them. As part of that, the foodbank Is seeklng to build relationships
wlth a broader range of local community advlce organisations, so that it can signpost
cllents to a wider array of 5UPPOrt servlces, such as those which help with mental health
Issues or which offer advlce and asSiStsn￿ for flndlng employment.
Trustee•
The Trustees of the Charity and the end of their ternis In March of a given year are as
stated on page 2 of this report. All such Trustees were appointed when the Charity was
established on 15 March 2021.
At In￿ptiOn, Trustees were appointed for ternis of two, three or four years, so that
tirement dates will be staggered, sts￿ng in March 2023. Thereafter Trustees will
each be appointed for a three-year tenn, such that nomially at least two nominated
Trustees are Scheduled to retire annually. It is possible that an outgoing trustee's
retlrement date Is agreed to be later to match the date that an incoming trustee Is
able to Joln.
The charity will maintain not less than three nor more than twelve Trustees at any
time.
