SORP reference
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The performance tour of “Unlocked” May-June 2023 was a huge success. With 3 generous sponsors, we were able to cover our costs to the penny! The tour had several 5* reviews, won the award for_Best Newcomer_at Brighton Fringe Festival, and was a finalist for an Offie Award. Dance students in Kenya benefitted from donations towards their training so that better teachers can be provided for them and the opportunity to develop dance technique and creative skills as well as social support through the program at Art of Music Foundation Kenya/Ghetto Classics Kenya. Rachael was able to make a music video with her girls with the money we raised and sent. This music video raised awareness of the treatment of girls in their community. ‘Unlocked’ at Whitton Baptist Church was also a huge success with outstanding feedback from the audience. The team worked extremely well together and benefitted from being part of the team. The audience were once again touched by the production and benefitted from the excuse to be brought together. |
