The Trustees Management Committee (all Trustees) is solely responsible for managing the charity’s activities.

Public and Employers Liability insurance is in place for all the charity’s sheepdog trials (and displays at related events) and Affiliated societies trials.

Procedures / policies in place: General Safeguarding, Disciplinary, Financial, Complaints, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection (GDPR), Codes of Conduct, Charitable Purpose, Private Benefit and Fees

“The promotion of agriculture, for the public benefit, in particular but not
exclusively by:
Promoting responsible working sheepdog ownership, breeding and
training.
Promoting matters pertaining to dog welfare in general.
Improving the working standard of working sheepdogs by organising and
promoting open and members only sheepdog trials”.
Membership of the society is open to anyone in agreement with the
society’s objects.
Promoting responsible working sheepdog ownership, breeding and
training:

The Society facilitates the organising and promotion of events and
training clinics (education) for new and inexperienced handlers to
further their knowledge and appreciation of sheepdogs and sheep
farming (beneficiaries).

Members give talks and host ‘experiences’ for interested groups
on sheepdog ownership and training.
Promoting matters pertaining to dog welfare in general:

The Society has a dog and sheep welfare policy (advice)/

The Society uses social media and its website to promote dog
welfare issues to members and the public generally and as issues
arise.
Improving the working standard of working sheepdogs by organising and
promoting open and members only sheepdog trials:

The Society organises annual Championships and Nursery
sheepdog trials.

The Society also facilitates the promotion and organisation of
Affiliated Societies sheepdog trials.

The Society produces an annual diary of trials for members and
uses its website and social media to provide details of any
changes or additions.

The Society publishes results of trials.
Whilst managing the Society’s affairs the Trusteeshave had regard
