original documents associated with the history
of RAF Scampton by digitisation and the
facilitation of online access by the public.

personnel by commemorating and illuminating
the auspicious acts of heroism and
distinguished service of those who served at

operates with volunteer tour guides under the
oversight of the RAF. It is due to be vacated by
the RAF by 31 Dec., 2022 and be sold as one lot
by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation
(DIO). Scampton Heritage Group has established
positive links with the DIO, RAF Heritage Branch,
the Planning Authority and the principal bidders
to establish a viable operating model for the CIO
once the station is closed. The model currently
sees the Charity as subject matter experts (SME)
to the new owners on heritage matters and as
tour guides to the whole site that will owned by
the successful bidder. We intend to negotiate a
per tour per person contribution to the charity
from tours that will be reinvested in furthering
our charitable objects with community groups
