OWEcrtVES AND AcfiviTILS ObJec¢tYe$ and aims The charity's main objective is to support Catholic stt￿¢nts 8nd ehaplaxncies at.bi8her education institutiow, with a primary focus on enabling ￿thOlIC wcieties to grow memb¢Tship and advaDC¢ the Catholic faith on campuses for the benefit of ihe public. Catholic Student Nettvork's CCSN'I mission is to ¢oDnect. equip, and empower students with their Catholic soci¢tie8 SO they can thrive during their time spent at university. ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFOBMANCE Charltable aedvlties Since Septernber 2023, CSN has been able to Provide full titne employrnent for a carefjjlly selected rni¥ion CO-ordiDator. with whom tbe scope, r¢aeh and activity of th¢ Charity has been ahlc to grow month upon month. With continued fv￿ling from its partner organisattons in 2024, CSN able to dedic&tc the time lle¢d￿ to develop a package of practical workshops and talks. in r¢spoDse to S￿dent need, which has been delivcred to Catholic societies across the coullty. The package h&$ facilitated key collversation5 and has equipped student leadcrs with many skills and tools. Th&qe, in turn, have enabled their Catholi¢ societies to grow in both uttity and fellowship, ultimately dr&wing students closer to Jesus Christ througb his Church. In 2n24, CSN again held its annual leadership conferen¢¢ the "Summit. drawing ill record attendance with 52 thdents attending froTn across the UK. all holding leadeiship p051tions at their Cathsocs. This represented another y¢ar of rapid expansioD for the Summit. which began with only 19 students in 2021. As a result of tbe yearly Summit, CSN h&s becorn¢ in¢r¢asittgly well positioned io provide ¢ontinued support to Catholic societies. To date we have journeyed with 20 50cieli¢s ov¢r att extended p¢riod, hElping to Shape multiplc years of their committccs in leadership and faith. Feedback was again overwhelmingly positive for the CSLS {Catholic Student Leaders Summit) 2024, and we continue io assess and disc¢rn new ways in which this event Gan be ev¢n more f￿Itfld in ￿￿Te years. 2024 also saw the launch of CSN'S mentorship scheme aimed at stt)d¢nt Icadcrs, allowing for ¢ontinued eonnection and ongoing encouragement with participating Students frolll trial universities. Fccdbaek has been overwhclmjngly p05itiv¢ with participants wanting to ¢xtend the program, referencing increased confidcnee and better prayer life. Therefore, we seek to extend this service whi¢h fonDS a large part of the growth plan for CSN inl0 the yearfs) to Come. Finally, renuining at th¢ foretront of CSNS work is an ongoing cornmitmuit to the safeguarding of its staff, facilitators. volunteers and att¢ndees' and our close relationship with othcT Catholic Charities has allowed us to learn and enhallce our own policies and praeti¢es throughout 2024. The developmcnt of our policies has ￿en closely followed by our grant providers and we are pleased to have met the high standards to which they hold us ac¢ountsble' siandards which e necessary for the safeguarding of the Church. Restiicted funds rcceived relate to a £45,000 continuing grallt obiained in ord¢r to fiDd th¢ salary of the mission co-ordillator. The restricted funds also includes a £20.000 grani that was obtsined in order to fund the sumnut costs. Expenditur¢ for the year was £64,270. of whicb £52,392 W￿￿ spent on tharitable aetiviti￿. At the year end th¢ Clwiry had cash balances of £39.097.
