I hereby submit the report on behalf of The Hub At Bridgwater & Trustees of The Hub At Bridgwater. During the year 22/23 The Hub was increasingly busy with post covid projects. The main one being establishing a digital cafe and employment of a digital coordinator. This has been successful in its setup and will continue until Nov 2023. Our reminiscence cafe runs regularly each week bringing together both people living with dementia and their families and carers in a supportive and friendly environment. Our collaborative approach with other organisations continues to benefit the wider community and individuals. This support reaches out to all ages, ethnicities, genders and abilities. We have fed many people and brought together many older people who have been engaged in our community fridge project in conjunction with other local food champions we have fed homeless people and those living alone including over 300 Christmas meals. Through our fundraising we have been able to fund our projects and with those who we have partnered to benefit the wider area around Bridgwater & Sedgemoor. The trustees wish to thank all of those volunteers from the many groups who have used The Hub for their selfless hard work and commitment to others in times of need. So many people have benefitted from The Hub’s projects and others ran by partner groups at The Hub. Rescued food has fed the community and rescued equipment not of any use locally has been shared with international projects in Ukraine and in Ghana where they have found new purpose.
