**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document**
Lambeth Links’ primary objective is the promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit of people that live, work, or visit the London borough of Lambeth. We aim to accomplish this by:
- (a) Aiming to eliminate discrimination on the grounds of gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation;
- (b) raising awareness in equality and diversity and the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and other marginalised sexual minorities, and non-binary gender persons (LGBTQIA+) and the issues affecting their lives and their communities;
- (c) promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds and in particular those from LGBTQIA+ background; and
- (d) cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity in particular through celebrating the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.

## **Section D Achievements and performance**
**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
Lambeth Links has continued to advocate for Lambeth’s LGBTQ+ Community, the largest in London and the second largest in the United Kingdom. We have also created opportunities to share learnings with other LGBTQ+ forums from across London.
We continue to create and run events that are specific to the needs and concerns of our Community but also in celebrations of. We have run the following events in this reporting period:
- Series of events held to learn what the needs of the LGBTQ+ community in South East London are, in relation to the newly created South East London Integrated Care System (ICS), of which Lambeth is also a part.
- • LGBT+ LIFE! Art exhibition as part of LGBT History Month, with talks and events focussing on mental health and wellbeing in communities.
- • Held a talk on the needs of the Trans community with regard to health needs.
- • Commenced our work on ‘Not Going into the Care Closet’ a series of events around LGBTQ+ ageing and how we are treated when we go into care.
- • Our now annual Pride Picnic event in association with Myatt's Fields Park Project.

- • Being present at local community events such as the Friends of Kennington Park Festival.
- • Having a stall at Lambeth Country show
- • Working with local schools.
- • Starting the preparation of an LGBTQ+ specific smoking cessation programme.
- We have become an established partner with the local authority, local health and ICS systems, and with the Metroplitan Police. This allows us to directly raise concerns and issues that disproportionally affect our Community. Examples include: • Working with partners to address hate crimes against the Community, with an event to highlight the issues around Hate Crime in Lambeth.
- • Coordinated response and to the Monkey Pox outbreak, bringing together community leaders and public health officials.
