Activities and Achi8V8ments During the year. a number of fundraisin8 artivities have been undertaken to raise fvnds and further the alms of the Charity. These have included= Year 7 Qulz night Fireworks Display for Guy Fawkes Non-unifomi day for all year group5 Christmas fair Provision of refreshments at the School concerts and play, sports day and at open evening. Easter Raffle Year 7 and 8 disco The Charity has also received sponsorship and donations from local businesses. This year our fundraising activities and donations have raised a gross income of just over £30,0(K) as set out in our accounts. During the spring term we invite each department in the School to enter bids for books and equipment etc, which they would othen¥ise be unable to purchase, due to budget limitations. After
careful review by the Trustees and Committee. bids to the walue of £8866 were awarded to the School. This has and will be paid to the School in two tranche5 during the 2024 Autumn term. The beneficiaries of the Charity's activities are ultimately the pupils of the School who are given access to books and equipment. including minibus, which would otherwise not be available. During the year, the Trustees have had reEard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. Future plans The committee plans to contlnue with our current strdtegy of devising fun ways to raise fund5 for the School. We aim to be a5 inclusive as possible by involving as many of the school population, in the activities we promote. as we can. Financial r8v18W After a busy year, the Charity's accounts show an increase in gross income, while the costs of fundraisin8 activities are In line with the prior year. Donations made to the School include sponsorship of the School minibus. The bid5 award decision made during the year will not become payable to the School until Autumn term 2024 and so is recorded as a liability. Equipment purchased inclLtded a cold box and card reader machines. More details can be seen in the Charity's account5. The Charity has a Reserves Pollcy that allows us to manage unforeseen financial shocks and help5 in the smooth management of cash flow. The Trustees had due regard to the Reserves Policy when awardlng grants I donations to the School. Governance The Charity operdtes under a Constltution. which governs the operatton of the Charity and the appointment of Trustees. As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011.
