Section D Achievements and erformance p

Summary of the main Over the fiscal year 2022 - 2023, Goudhurst Village Hall (GVH) continued achievements of the charity to facilitate community groups and social activities within the Hall. The during the year Village Open Day was held in and around the Hall in July 2022. The level of occupancy for classes and groups continued to grow, following the drop off from the effects of the pandemic of the previous year when the Hall availability was restricted. Hall hirers and users have remained loyal and activities have continued to increase steadily. A new booking clerk came on board in April 2022 who has helped to promote the Hall for community use. Occupancy of the premises is the prime objective for GVH and the Trustees continue to work hard to maintain progress in this area and to focus on increasing occupancy. . The customer (hirer) base has remained strong with ;oyal support from regular clients. There was no significant capital investment during the fiscal year 20222023 and there are plans to revisit this in the near future, particularly with respect to the maintenance of the building. For this reason, as in recent years, the largest expenditure was for routine services such as cleaning, routine repairs and renewals work, accounting for around 50% of turnover. The main requirement for major works to be carried out in the future include: replacement windows, roof repairs etc. The Trustees will be investigating the options for raising the funds for tackling these works as soon as possible during the coming year.

REPORT F THE INDEPENDENT EXA R TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE GOUDHURST VILLA EHA I have reviewed the books and records of the Goudhurst Parish Hall. In my opinion the Statement of Receipts and Expenditure for the year ended March 312023 and the accompanying Balance Sheet for the year then ended, together with the notes thereto, give a true and fair view of the state of the Charity's affairs at March 31 2023 and of its receipts and payments for the year then ended, as shown by the books and records.
