The Trustees present their report for the year ended 31 December 2024.

## **The Objects of the charity are as follows:**

- To advance the Islamic faith throughout the United Kingdom for the benefit of the public mainly but not exclusively through the holding of prayer meetings, religious education, religious ceremonies and celebrations

- To provide outreach and pastoral care for the community.

## **Review of activities and achievements**

The charity continues to hold its weekly and quarterly prayer meetings. Prayers and other Islamic activities during this year’s Ramadan was another success, various Islamic scholars delivered uplifting and educative lectures to members and guests from the community. Members celebrated both Eid Fitr and Eid Adha with family, friends and the community at large. We organised a service celebrating the birth of our prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon on him, to whom the Qur’an was revealed.

During the year, our charity donation includes financial support provided to twenty-five families through Zakat Fitr programme (23 for the year ended 31/12/2023).

In December, we organised our first ever Sukuul Barakah/Harvest. This was an event where various items which included Islamic memorabilia and fruit baskets etc. were auctioned to members and invited guests. Because this event was successful, we have decided that this will be part of the group’s annual activities.

The Mosque Fund, set up in 2023 towards the purchase of a building, with an initial target of £180,000 witness a small positive movement and members are encouraged to contribute towards achieving the target.

## **Our Finances**

The accounts have been prepared on an income and expenditure basis. The income received in the year is £27,005 (2023: £29,541), against a total payment of £10,405 (2023: 12,781), resulting in a surplus of £16,599 (2023: £16,760). The total fund available at the end of the year £72,373 (2023: £55,774), this includes £12,280 Designated fund towards the purchase of our building.

## **Future plans**

The Trustees and members continue to work towards the realisation of our strategic goal of buying a property to be used for all our activities. The Mosque fund has been set up for this purpose.

Approved by the Trustees on and signed on their behalf by:

Wakeel Noibi (Chairman) August 2025
