Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Hgslemere Food Bank Trust (Charity 1193577) I report to the trustees on my examination of the Receipts and Payments Accounts of the Haslemere Food Bank Trust (the Tn￿t) for the year ended 31 August 2022. Responsibilities and basis of report As the c1￿1ty tsvstees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5Xb) of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination. I confwm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: . accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act. or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records. **or £15 is also given to clients to**
**purchase fresh food.**
**Each client is referred to the Food Bank**
**by one of our referral agencies.**
**Volunteers deliver food packs to those**
**families and individuals who are unable**
**to get to the Food Bank in person.**
**Volunteers are on hand on both**
**distribution days to sit and talk to those**
**who wish further support.**
**The Food Bank continues to offer**
**specific monetary support grants**
**entrusted to us by Surrey County**
**Council. These are provided to those**| |||**families and individuals in need, having**
**been referred to the Food Bank by**
**different agencies which have identified**
**a specific need. The referrals come**
**from schools, local health centre,**
**churches, and CAB. These grants are**
**provided for urgent specific needs**
**arising for families and individuals who**
**have no other forms of support. For**
**example, energy bills, issues arising**
**from poor health, unexpected family**
**situations and such basic needs as**

**expanded the service throughout the**
**past year. We continue to provide the**

**regular basis. This is in addition to the**
**food donations that are received each**
**week.**
**The Christmas distribution is very**
**successful. In addition to the food**
**packs, toys and gifts were again**
**donated by the local community, thus**
**alleviating the stress on individuals and**
**families.**
**This has enabled us to provide a range**
**of opportunities to reach out and give to**
**those clients who are in need. It has**
**also given the volunteers, a sense of**
**community spirit and a sense of**
**purpose, especially for those clients**

**dismayed that this should remain a**
**necessity for a growing number of**
**people, with little sign of a let up any**
