During the 2024/25 planting season,
Creating Nature's Corridors planted8,922
native trees and hedging plantsacross
15 sitesthroughout the UK and Ireland.
All planting was carried out using bare
root stock during the appropriate dormant
season window, in line with best
horticultural practice for native species
establishment.
Our volunteer programme engaged259
individualsacross the season, including
corporate volunteers, community groups,
and individual supporters, all of whom
contributed directly to the delivery of our
charitable objectives. The breadth and
diversity of our volunteer base refect the
growing community of people who believe
in our mission and want to play an active
part in restoring the natural landscape.
Creating Nature's Corridors is committed
not only to planting trees but to ensuring
their long-term survival and
establishment. During the reporting
period, we carried out multiplemulching
daysacross our planting sites to support
the health and vitality of the newly
planted bare root stock, reducing weed
competition, retaining moisture, and
improving the conditions for successful
establishment.
An independent site inspection was carried
out by one of our donors across three of our
key planting locations. The results
confrmed that Creating Nature's Corridors
is maintaining a97% tree survival rate,a
fgure that refects the quality of our
planting methodology, the dedication of our
volunteer teams, and our commitment to
robust aftercare.
This survival rate is signifcantly above
sector averages and demonstrates that
our approach to planting site selection,
species choice, preparation, and
ongoing maintenance is delivering
genuine, lasting environmental impact.
