## **Manea Pre-School Annual report – 2025.** 

Manea Pre-School continues to serve the growing village community of Manea, in the Cambridgeshire Fens. The Pre-School is physically located within Manea Community Primary School and is managed by the Governors of the school. The staff liaise closely with the Primary School staff to ensure a smooth transition can take place, although as a PVI setting, having a place at Pre-School does not guarantee a school place at Manea Community Primary School. 

Manea School was visited by Ofsted in June, as always, the inspection was robust and covered all aspects of school life. We are delighted to say that the inspection resulted in the continuation of the GOOD assessment. The full Osted report can be found on the school website but we were particularly pleased to note the following comment: 

_Children in the early years enjoy an ambitious and well-planned curriculum. Adults are highly skilled. They seize every opportunity to question children, so they think deeply about their learning. Children respond positively, using a wide range of vocabulary. Children recognise different types of emotions and how these make them feel._ 

_The arrangements for safeguarding are effective._ 

A particular highlight has been the completion of our new premises during this period. Everyone involved with Pre-School has been delighted with the finished product. 




Manea Primary School is responsible for all aspects of the Pre-School finances and adheres to all of the policies and procedures specified by the Local Authority. Regular financial checks and audits are undertaken by Governors and the Local Authorities finance team. We expect to return to our more usual numbers at the start of 2025 ensuring that our income returns to 2023 levels.

Audit arrangements 

Manea Pre-school accounts form part of the wider Manea Community Primary school accounts. The Pre-school has a separately identifiable set of accounts within the whole school accounts. As a Local Authority school all accounts and procedures are routinely inspected and audited each year. There were no items or areas of concern raised during the year.
