1. Annual report
The new CIO was approved by the Charity Commission on 12/2/2021 but the charity did not commence operational activity as the first step required is to transfer the assets of the already existing charitable unincorporated organisation of Trinity Baptist Church into the new CIO. This has proved to be a lengthy and difficult process as the church’s assets (Church building and manses) are currently held by the Baptist Union Corporation as holding trustees. This process has been hindered by the Covid lockdown situation and access to legal resources. As a result, agreement has not yet been reached on how this asset transfer is to be done and it is likely that the new CIO will not be started up until at least the end of March 2023.
As a result, all activities of the existing charity have continued and none have been transferred to the new CIO. The Trustees of the existing charity and the new CIO are the same.
2. Accounts
Because of the situation outlined above, the new CIO has not had any income or expenditure so no accounts are available for the period in question.
