OurongolnB campaign seeksto ensure that disabled and people with mental health and familles in ourcommunty are 5UPPOrted in their quest for change in their Ilves. Therefore, we have taken the opportunity to revlew our aims, objetts, and strategiesfor the future. Asto 'reaching everyone,, our responsesarose direttly from what we heard from our servlce users and partners and are now cen7ented within the following acttons. We have Set ourstrategic plan for the 3*eBr period that will enable theor8anbats.on to grow In capacity and develop servkes to reflert the growin8ch3nges to funding and the derSitY in our community. We wlll condnueto give a high priorlty to develop and deliver scheme5 thatwlll impact on the mental health and counsellln8 5ervice5 and independent liv5n8 skills of the Somali and refu8eel35ylum seekers communlty, by promoting advancement young people and adult's educational, social, and persona development to improve thelr quallty of Ilfe's. We wlll tontlnue to develop services that will relleve slckness, preserve, and protect the health and welfare of women and children of our community with reference to dome5C violence. the clrcumcision of women IFGMI, includinB birth control and mental health awareness3nd enablingthem to access mental health services from cr5ses point to the community recovery pro55. Aboveall, we focus wlll Snvolve around preventing aspects of mental health that lead to homeless through worki with our partners includin8 councils and Housing Association. We will continue to develop projects that will seek to build the confidence, self-esteem and 5kllls of women and provSde them with knowledge and support to become ec0n0mlcal active In the5r communlty. Our work providin8 information, advi & guldance and advoeacy to the communSty conttnuesto providevaluableopportunldes to many membersofourcommunityto accessthesetvic they need as much as it has provided opportunities fornetworkingi learning and information exchan8e within our community. Our partnership with local mental health serViS providers hasflouri5hed and our work dellvering Housing and Benefits support for those otherwise experienced poverty, hung and homeless without the preventative measures we providlng to the community, we will also condnue to work wlth high schools to raise awareness of mental health in earty age. The Servi ha5 been very popular with the group and has contributed to Improving attainment at both school and borough level. We look fotward to building on this achievement and aim to approach the newfinaneial year with a focus on delivering service5 that 5UPPOrts the social, mental, academk, and economic wellbeing of young people and thelr famllies. We have successfully delivered job search and employment brokerage project funded by National Lottery and we are pleased with their support of thls funding Step2Work Prolert. We will continueto demonstrateourcommitmentto 5UPPOrtthe community, and we will continue to develop the capacity of the Management Commtttee and the OrBanisation to respond to a changlng
settor and to the differing neeils of the wider membership. We are, as always, very grateful for the Input, support and expertise of members, Staff, volunteers.
