After many years of working with Chorley Council to provide an improved facility at the Wigan Road field, we are finally in residence.  We just waiting for a few final snagging items to be fixed then we are in a position to sign the lease which has been agreed. 

On the 15[th] September 2023 we were privileged to have a grand opening event and ribbon was cut by the Right Honourable Sir Lindsay Hoyle and John Stubbs MBE. 

We have now held two successful tournaments on the field the latter one in January 2024. Despite the howling gale and lashing rain we attracted 51 competitors including world record holders and county champions. 

Three well subscribed beginners’ courses have now taken place with a fourth starting in February 2024. From which we are gaining members including members with a variety of disabilities. 

Despite the effects of the pandemic and not being able to use the field for a year, we are only about 12 months behind the membership targets in our 5- year plan and we are accelerating faster than planned.  I expect the club to be back on track this time next year.
