## Wethersfield Community Activities Trustees Report 2023-2024 

Our small charity continued to play a significant part in the social well-being of our community. 

Wethersfield entered the spirit of the King’s Coronation in the early part of May and were actively involved right from the planning stage through to the final event and clearing up!  A great event and coming together of the community. 

June saw another Essex and Herts Scooter Rally returning to the village. Almost 100 scooters and riders coming through the village and gathering on the playing field to breakfast at the Pavilion. A very busy and happy day with many people turning out to welcome them and enjoy revisiting the sixties. 

WCA trustees spearheaded the annual Christmas Lights  and Christmas Fair Event. A great deal of organising culminating in an evening of nativity on the village Green, Carols and brass band around the tree and a huge number of the village community turning out to support and enjoy. 

This was followed a week later by involvement in the Christmas Tree Festival held at the hall and helping with the Carol Singing around the village with a happy group of children  and their parent. Funds raised for UNICEF. 

Two of our trustees left early in the year to move to another area.  Later we were sad to see Ria go as she too was moving on. The four remaining trustees continue in their work to support the community. We are fortunate to be able to call on a band of volunteers to help out when things get too big. 

Baby Group and Social Saturday continue to thrive although the Wethersfield Baby,Bump and Toddler Group continues to be our core activitiy. 

We look forward to continuing during 2024/25 and thank all who have supported us.
