An application was made to the Charity CL)mmissk)n to register P&)rland Crew as a new Charltable
InC0￿rated Organlsation (CIO), charity numtrEr 1193459. This was succesthl on 9th
February 2021, then amended ￿ 9th A￿ust 2021, I￿r due to Covid-19 and pmblems wlth
the banK a new bank ￿)Unt could not be set up until February 2022.

The trustees fonn the Executive Committee of the chaiity. The members of the Execuuve
Commlttee are elected at the Annual Gener31 Meeting by tF￿ members of the Charity. All
trustees are required to retire from Offi￿ tcgether at the end of the annual generdl meeting next
after the date of whith they corrE into Offi￿ but they May be rtrelected or re-appointed. All
members are circulated with iniitstions to nominate bustees in advance of the AGM. Th￿e is a
provision for the cO￿ptIOn of additlorkil trust￿ ff rquired.
The Con￿]tU￿On states that the Executive Committee shall consist of not less than 3 members
nor more than 12 m￿nber5.

New trustees are required to undergo induction training, provlded by the other trustees or
suitable peTh)ns. Ideally, the induction indudes a discussion alK)ut the role and responsibllitles of
trustees, athVI￿es, alms and objecttves of the thaiity, the structure of the organisation,
L￿rd of trust￿, generdl procedures of the organi53tion. New trustees are provided wlth the
Charity Commissions 'Roles and Responsibilities of Trustees,, the Constitutlon, the latest statutory
financial ststements, Annual Report and copies of the minutes and management reports provided
to the board of trustees. Any additional tr3ining required by the new trustees will be identifEd
during induction, and may be requested at any point by new and existing trustees, where it Is
considered useful to their role as trustee.

The toard of trustees manages the Qwrity and aims to conslder only strategic decisions at its
meetings. Trustees are aware that any C(￿flict of interest is declared and minuted. The board
meets bl-monthly and occasionally on other ￿caSIonS as ￿uired.
Objectives and Adivilies
The objects of the chaiity as set out in Conststution a￿.
To relleve or prevent suffering caused by physical or mentsl health or by social or
economic drcumstances, the preservalfjon of health and the advancement of education of
the cadets, forces veterans and famllies by the Maintenan￿ and development of a servi
for people of the armed for￿.
To relieve need and distress amongst the memlxrs and fomier members of the amied
forces. To profflote the health of indivrduals who are seNing or who have seNed in the
arniej forces, who have been mentslly or physicalty injured. To offer advi￿ and support
regarding ISS￿ of lonelin￿s, trauma arKI a signp)sting Servi￿ to access other seNices if
required.
To suptM)rt and give assistan￿ to the families and dependents of all armed forces
beneficiaries, especially the Norland Crew (rhe FalklaE￿s Conflitt).
To provide asslstance wtth the provlsion of or contribution to the education and training of
young people within the community or olher relevant groups.
To provide the provlslon of advi￿ and inf0M￿tion to lffjl and natbonal govemment
agencies on matters affecting members of the armed forces, through liaising with
indiwdual veterans and veterBn organisations, either nationally or I(￿lly.
To commemordte and remember all meM￿r5 and or forTner rnernbe￿ of the armed forces
who have lost thelr lives or suffer&d injury in Ser41￿ to the public.

Financial Review
It is the aim of the trustees to retaln three to 4x nKJnths' core running costs in the unrestrict&
general fund to ensure a suffiaent bLfftr to enable effeclive finanaal decision-making, rather
than short term decI￿ons, and the charty will V￿rk towards achieving this in the future by
looking at additional fund raistng activities.

Charity has elected to prepare its accounts on the Receipts and Payments basis in line with the

Norland Crew CIO is a registered (haritable Incorp)rdted Organisation (CIO) registered with the
Charty Commlssion.
The organisation has detted to prepare 6ts accounts on Receirts and Payments basis in line
with the Charities Act 2011 which allows non-company tharities with an income of less than
£250,000 to prepare tkEir accounts on this basis.
In accordan￿ with your instructions, we have prepared the Flnancial Statements which comprlse
the Receipts and Payments Accounts and the Statement of Assets and LiabilÈties from the
accounting records of the Charity and on the basis of inforThation and explanations you have given
to us.
As the Charities income is bek)w £25,000 there is no requirement for the accounts to be
independently examined or audited. We have not carried out an audit, independent examination
or any other review, and consequently do not express any opinion on these aco)unts.
