## **Introduction**
Oue third year of operation, 2022 to 2024, was our second year of activity and we were able to feel that we were making progress, albeit slowly. We have been grateful for the encouragement and support we have received from people around us, family, friends, and others. Including offering advice and donations of items which we can sell to raise funds.
The economic climate was still bleak and as a charity we remained virtually unknown to most people. We realised that, where possible, activities should attract attention and well as raise funds.
We have still not made any charitable donations but believe we will be able to begin to do that in the coming year.
## **Activities**
One of our Trustees, Andrew Harvey, undertook a sponsored walk along the length of Hadrian’s Wall. This obtained publicity in our local press and, with the cooperation of family and friends, was very widely circulated on social media with an explanation of what our charity is seeking to do. The walk raised a very worthwhile amount of money, exceeding our original estimate.
Many other activities were also undertaken which enabled us to engage with people and explain our aims as well as raise funds. We are continuing in this way and believe that momentum is building up as we push forward.
## **Required information**
Income and spending – Total income in the financial year 2023-24 is confirmed as £1,669.28
Serious incidents – There were no serious incidents during this period.
Raising funds from the public – The charity did and does raise funds from the public. No professional fundraisers were used and none are currently engaged with the charity in any way. Equally, no commercial participators were or are involved with the charity.
Grants – The charity did not make any grants, nor did it receive any grants from national or local government or any other public or private body.
Income from outside the UK – None received or expected.
Income from Government contracts – AJHMC has no contracts with central or local government

Operating area – The charity did not operate outside of England and Wales.
Trustee payments – No payments have been made to any trustee for any reason and no trustee intends to make any claims for any payments for any activity undertaken on behalf of the charity in this period. No trustee has received or been promised any other benefit from the charity.
Employees – The charity has no employees.
Volunteers – The charity had seven volunteers during this period, the three trustees plus four others who, with the trustees, discuss and plan activities and then put them into operation.
Financial controls – The trustees have discussed financial controls and believe they are adequate for the current activities of the charity. They will be reviewed again during the coming year as funds will we hope see further growth and then expect to keep them regularly under review.
