TRUSTEES. REPORT
Trustee5 During the year we were sotTV to lose Rev'd Edward Sakwe, Minister of Trinity United Church. when
he relocated io another church. However, we were pleased to welcome two new Trustees, Anne Phillips and
John Riley-smith. They joined the existing Trustees- Rerfd Diana Zanker (Chairl. Donna Kennedy. Lloyd
Davies. Susan Noble. David Noble, Alasdair Fraser. and Gill Gibbon5.
We met on five occasion5 for lull Trustee meetings during the year. either by Zoom or in live meetings. In
addition to the standing items ol Finance. Fundrai5in& and Project Leaderfs Report. significant other matters
discussed included.. review ol issues raised during the Tru5tees' Training Day (reported in last year's Report)..
the need for additional teachers,. and the ongoirng review of HELWS varSous politSes and pr¢xedures. includin8
during thls year Bullying and Harassment. Whistle-blowin& and Cèpability.
Flnances During ihe year, Receipts were slightly lower1£6111 than Payments, but Net Assets at the end of the
year were £32,364. The lull. audited accounts, accepted at the AGM on 8January, 2026, accompany this
Report to the Charity Commission.
Personnel We had 126 learners re6lStered durin8 the year, from 24 countries.
In addition to Trustees. we had seven teachers and two admin assistants workin8 Wlth five classes of differin6
levels. As before, our paid Project leader Nick Thomas, and Creche Manager Alma2 Woldemichael, tO8eiher
wjith Hidat her Deputy, and Naghmeh, our IT consultant, provided invaluable support throu8hout the year.
