OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Youth Mental Wellbeing Charity providing free activities and resources to young people in the community with a view to improving their mental wellbeing and creating engagement opportunities for them.
From Woodgrange Market Forest Gate London E7) we operate a weekly market stall attended by young people from local communities. We delivered Nature and Biodiversity project funded by Newham Council Community Grant. We also hosted a Queens Jubilee event funded separately by Newham Council Jubilee fund. This was a one off grant.
The main project involved improving local community spaces. On our market stall young people learn about planting and collaborate with local organisations and help with the cleaner and greener agenda of the borough and wider London. We are making positive change in our local area by supporting young people to look after their overall wellbeing and have aspirations to aim high and reach their full potential. It is an Inclusive Youth Led project for Youth!

We have been consistent with our presence in WoodGrange market every Saturday with the youth leaders delivering nature related projects. We are visible engaging young people in planting activities, volunteering and collaborating with local community groups. We hosted community events on the market to celebrate achievements. Young people continue to learn about the importance of nature and climate and green spaces. We also gave out plants for their living spaces
We have on average 10-15 youth attend our stall each session. Backgrounds of the young people are diverse. South Asian, British white, European, Black Caribbean, African, Middle eastern, East Asian, South American and Roma community. Some of our volunteers are bi lingual so we have been able to reach out too many people in the community who are hard to reach and engage. We also have young people and parents visiting who have learning difficulties and disabilities. We have a mixture of females, males and people from the LGBT community who have accessed our stall.
