We have become a vital part of the community offering parents a lifeline by providing quality childcare at a low cost. The Committee are fully supportive of continuing to develop playgroup for the needs of our local community and families that attend They have volunteered free of charge to ensure playgroup provides a high standard of childcare and are a vital part in the playgroup's success. The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit in deciding what activities the charity should undertake and how succesful outcomes should be evaluated. It is the policy ofthe charitythat unrestricted funds which have not been design8ted for a specific use should be maintained at a level equivalent to three month's expenditure or 8 minimum of £10.000. The trustees consider that reserves at this level will ensure that. in the event of a significant drop in funding, they will be able to continue the charity's current activities while consideration is given to ways in which additional funds may be raised or the charity's activities can be wound up in an orderly fashion.
