Collaborating with world-leading academic5 to conlribute fo research around relationships and sex education. Working in partnership with other organisations on best practice ond innovation in relationships and Sex education. Publishing a book for young people. leachet5 and parents to use to improve their health and wellbeing. How our activities deliver public benefft Our main activities and who we ty to help are descnl)ed below. All our charitable aclivities focus on providing inclusive relationships and sex education and are undertaken to further our charitable purposes for the public benefit. School of Sexuality Education is responding to need in the wake of Everyone'5 Inviled and the subsequent Ofsted inquiry into sexual violence in schools. Specifically, children and young people told Of51ed thot sexuol harassment occurs so frequently that il has become'commonplace.. ond 90% of the girts said that being sent unwonted explicit pictures or videos happened '0 lot. or 'sometimes'120211. The consent education that we deliver as Irained professionols is a key component to preventing sexual violence. Who used and benefited from our services? School of Sexuality Education provides comprehensive ond inclusive relationships and sex education IRSEI programmes. Our approach is LGBTQIA+ inclusive, evidenc&bosed and trouma-informed. Our team of unembarrassable facilitators pride themselves in creating noTrjudgmentol and safe spaces for young people to leam about their own health and wellbeing. Our programmes cover Ihe following seven key themes: Consent Sexual violence
School of Sexvality Education Relationships Reproduclive and sexual health Puberty and the body Sex. bodies. and Ihe media Identities Our progrommes are delivered as talks and workshops to young people through schools, college5. universities. specialist centres, and youlh groups. We also provide staff training and consultancy on relationships and sex education. We completed over 2(K) visits acr055 130 educational institutions (schools. colleges, universities. youth groupsl predominantly in England. as well in Scolland and Wales. We worked with young people predominantly in secondary schools. students. aged 11-18 yeor5 old. as well as some primary schools. youlh groups. and universities. The main oreas of charitable actiVFty are the provision of deltvering programmes, staff Iraining. and consultancy. Via schools. colleges. universiTries. speciallsl centres Our goal 15 to work with schools to develop or complement their existing provision on relationships and sex education. The number of schools we work with is limited lo our internal capacity and the number of facililators available to deliver programmes. For example, based on the number of facilitotors we hove and the number required per school. we can reach 6-16 schools a week. Demand for our services LE met on a fIt come, first served bosis. particularfy to state secondary schoo15. however. we find that we are able to occommodate most schools at some point during the academic year. We offer a tiered price model for schools. based on their budget and capacity for our programmes. The income directly funds facilitators delivering the work and charity's activities. Independent schools ore offered the higher tiers to subsidise costs for low-income or state institutions. This approach ensures that our work is accessible to all. Collecting student feedback has been a challenge owing to the volume of students we work with. the scope of our subject matter. and time constraints when working with schools. At the end of our wori%hops. students can provide feedback via an online survey where they are osked to complete a few simple questions based on the sessions they received that day. Finally. there are free-text boxes in which students can tell us what they liked ot disliked obout the wotk5hoplsl. and one thing they will do differently as a resull of the workshopls}.

In response to the testimonials on Everyone's Invited website and the following Ofsted report on peer on peer abuse. we have delivered specialist sessions for students and staff on preventing ond tackling sexual violence in school5. "I liked the session because the informalion delivered in the seOn was informative. How to respond and challenges rape culture. and preven*ing sexuol violence was the best part in leaming. Thank you." Teacher In Blackpool. We further support schools with their PSHE delrvery by offeting parent workshops to encourage a joined up approach to relationships and sex education between school and home. Consullancy Another element of School of Sexuality Educotion's work involves consultoncy. which we offer to educalional in5titulion5. on research projects. or partner orgonisalions. Since 2019. we have been working with a consortium of academics from University College London. Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Leicester to better understand harms young people are facing online and offline. The consortium carried out extensive research around the topics of online sexual and gendered harms. young people. and schools. This hos included assessing Ihe impact of COVID ond social isolotion on young people's expertences of online sexual harm during this period of increased reliance on screens. The research was conducted through a mixture of surveys for young people. parents and teachers. focu5 groups. workshops and interviews in schools. School of Sexuality Education has been the main impact defivery partner on these project5. A5 0 result. we have been worknng wilh academic experts to design and
School of Sexuallty Educatlon deliver workshops in schools. ond create resources for schools to help them better understand. prevent and respond to sexual violence. We delivered Iwo workshops for 14-16 year olds on: I l Underslonding sexuol violence 21 Activating for change.- how we can address sexuol violence. The workshops were piloted wifh one whole year group in seven state schools in both urban and rural areas of Englond. The research sites were selected to ensure that the workshops were trialled with a diverse sample of sludents and schools. To assess the impact of the wortshops. students were asked to complete a before- and-ofter sutvey. A sample of students from each workshop was also invited to take part in a focus group to provide feedback after porlicipating. We found that.. 88.6% students agreed that the workshops Improved thetr knowledge of sexual violence and dlfferenl fomis il takes. 85.8% students agreed that the workshops Improved their vnderstandlng of how gender, sexuallty and sexual violence Inlerrelate and which groups are most impacted. 88.470 students agreed Ihat they would appty the conlent of the workshop to my relatlons wilh othe. As part of this research and consorlium we co-created a report and guidance on tackling online sexual harassment and abuse for school leaders and young people. Key findings from the research include= Girfs and LGBTQIA+ young people are more likely to experience digital 5exuol violence. Most young people don't report these harms. Lockdown exacert)aled online horms. Digital sexual violence has become incredibty normalised. We consulted on the UCL Community Engaged Leaming projecl to produce ond promote documents for teacher5 ond studenls to review and improve their uniform policy. The guidance documenfs explore the relationship belween uniform policy. tackling se5M. and taking an antkracist. inclusive approach..
School of Sexuality Educatlon We continued consulting on a project with the University of SUey, which involved co-creating guidance and resources for schools with young people on transforming school cultures through inclusive relalionships and sex education. Fvnding The grant from Ovingdean Hall Foundation. Iprovided in three instalmentsl, funded our pioneering project - to develop contemporary and comprehensive Relationships and Sex Education progrommes for deaf leaers. The funding enabled o qualified 8SL- English interpreter and Deaf studies graduate to join the team to lead on this projecl and provide free relationships and sex education programmes for deaf learners. We delivered 22 workshops in total with young people across the country. with students ranging from Year 6 to Year 10. through small group workshops as well as l-l se55ions. The feedback for the programme was posltive." Blrkdole Trust Grant-Deal Educollon Project - reslrfcted (£2500) The funding extended our provision to D/deaf leameT5 through deaf Schools and moinstream schools with deof units. Our deof educator and BSL interpreter odapted our workshops to ensure thal the teaching methods and content was appropriate and acce55ible to D/deaf leamers. This involved producing a number of videos and animations to show to students in our workshops. These short videos and animations explored consent. boundaries and positive relationships through a very visual and engaging resource. The videos were subtitled and used a mixlure of vert)al and sign language communication to help children understand oboul slaying safe. respecting boundaries and their rights. A school in London. The grant from School for Social Entreprenevrs was specifically to support the CEO in attending the SSE Leaming Progrornme and implement their learning for the organisation's business development 5trotegy. The unrestricted funding was used towards the CEO and COO'S salaries. and provided to School of Sexuality Education following evidence thal we achieved an increase in our traded income. from the previous year. Donallons The receipt of ad hoc donations from members of the public and organisotions is used for resources and materials needed for our sessions delivered in schools. To ensure our work is accessible to all. including young people. parents and teachers we published a book in September 2)21 timed "Sex Ed: an inclusive teenage guide to sex and relationships" "This is a b.111ant resource to help teens through those tricty limes where they are negotlating their way Ihrough body image. relationships ond sex. Covering all definitions of sex, sexuality and gender this is notjust an essential tool for teens but

We launched a crowdfunder in May 2022 to raise funds for a copy of our book to be donaled to school libraries. Ensuring our work and high quality relationships and sex education is accessible lo oll. Investment Pollcy The Management Committee has decided not to make any investments: this position will be reconsidered when our Reserves Policy has been met. Reserves Policy The Management Commiltee has examined the charity's requirement5 for reseNes in light of the main risks to the organisation. It has established a policy whereby the unrestricted funds not committed or invested in tangible fixed assets held by the charity should be between 3 and 6 months of Ihe expenditure. Budgeted expenditure for accounting peiiod ending 31 July 2022 15 £217K and therefore the target is £54K to £108K in general funds. The reserves ore needed to meet the working capital requirements of the charity and the Management Commitlee are confident that at this level they would be able to conlinue the cuwent activilies of the charity in the event of o significant drop in funding. The present level ot reserves available to the charity of £1.8K falls significantly short of this targel level. Although Ihe strategy is to continue to build reserves through planned operating surpluses. Ihe Management Committee is well aware that it is unlikew that the target range can be reached for at least 5 year5. In the short term the Management Committee h05 also considered the extenl to which ext5ting activities and expenditure could be curlailed. should such circumstances orise. Plans for Fulvre Periods School of Sexuality Education plans on continuing the activities outlined above in the forthcoming year5. We aim to source funding that will allow us to reach a higher number of schools in particular regions with low-income households. The charity will also continue lo provide expert consultancy and work towards sharing best practice in the sector. 12

Governance and Management The organisation is a charitable company limited by guarantee. incorporated on 17 February 2017 and registered as a charity on 3 February 2021. The company was established under a Memorandum of Associalion which established the objecls and powers of the charitable company and is govemed under its Articles of Association. Recrvilment and Appoinlmenl of Management Committee The directors of the company ale olso charity Irustees for the purposes ot charity law and under the company's Articles are known as members of the Management Committee. Trustees are elected to seNe for four yea[5 With a slandard extension of a further four. All members of the Management Commitlee give their time voluntarily and receive no benefits from the charity. Responsibility for day-t(Fday operations and the leodership of the staff is delegaled to the Chief Executive Officer. The CEO alongside Ihe team of paid staff are responsible for all day-to-doy decisions affecling the charity. Decisions of a strategic or directional nature, including the employment of senior stoff. remain the responsibility of the Trustees. The Trustees ore ultimately responsible for setting and approving remuneration of senior management and ofher staff. Remuneration is approved by the Trustees as part of the annual budget process. Trustee5 keep up-to-date wth charity regulation through reports from the CEO. which are presented as porl of the main agenda in the Trustee meeling5 on o quortety basis. Trustees attend relevant training and are expected to share knowledge and best practice ot Trustee meetings. Any expenses reclaimed from the charity are set out in note 7 to the accounts. The Trustrcc5 give Iheir time voluntorily. In the year ending 31 ju 2022 the work of School of Sexuafity Education was carried out by 13 conlract stoff and 12 freelance staff. Risk Management The TTU5tee5 of School of Sexuality Education are responsible for the management of the risks faced by the charity. Detailed consideralion of risk ts delegated to the CEO. Risks are identified annually and are monitored and controlled on an ongoing basis. The Trustees are satisfied that all mojoi risks hove been reviewed and procedures put in place to mitigate against those risks. Whilst procedures can mitigate against major risks, the Trustees cannot provide absolute assurance against those iisks. The Trustees recognise the importance of reviewing the risks associated within the charity and will 13
