**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

The object of the CIO is the relief of children suffering from Battens Disease variant CLN2, an ultra-rare genetic neurological disease affecting children, in particular but not exclusively by providing grants and funding for treatment of and research into Battens Disease variant CLN2 to benefit the health and improve the lives of affected children. 

Due to the pandemic activities have been limited as a new charity finding its way forward. In January 2022 alongside the Community Action Group Ollies Army Battling Against Battens we started to organise a Charity Ball to be held in October 2022

Trustees are also our volunteers when it comes to organising the charity ball. They give up their free time to help with the aims of the charity. 

Opening a business bank account proved to be a challenge during the pandemic with bank employees working remotely from home. This was achieved in September 2021.
