Over the last year the Trustees have focused on networking within the most beneficial sectors to help promote these objectives. In summary,

12 ActiveBlood Events have been delivered across 4 Local Authority areas of Wales. Engagement with the MOD, Sport and Education has commenced, For example… several Military Reserve Units have created and delivered Hike challenges

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

The Civil Service have created an Active4Blood Project linking this to organisation Health & Wellbeing requirements. Additionally each department is seeking to promote Volunteering as a positive activity to undertake.

Authentication is key to the ongoing success. Therefore early in 2021 the Charity signed the Armed Forces Covenant and achieved the Bronze Award under the Employer Recognition Scheme. Also is a Full Member of the Welsh Sports Association.

## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

- policy on grantmaking;

- policy programme related investment;

- contribution made by volunteers.

Due to the Charity Motto **“Blood not Money”** fund raising for cash is not a fundamental priority. Participants are encouraged and requested to donate Blood via our unique link to the Welsh Blood Service.

However it has clearly become a concern of how the ongoing business activities can take place without running cost funds. The administration costs/requirements have currently been met in kind and by x 2 small grants from one local authority.

## **Financial Strategy**

The following strategy has been agreed and will be implemented in September 2022.

Corporate Sponsorship Packages, to encourage business and organisations to support the charity with funds to recruit staff and manage the charity day to day running activities/costs.

Grant Funding, a Volunteer has been identified and in the process of being recruited to focus on identifying and completing grant applications.

Support being sought from Local Authority Voluntary departments to source and apply for small grants to help fund
