enthusiastic Trustees and VOlunte8rs. Withoul them, the Sid Valley wouia not have 8 Foot Bank.
Our Co-ordinator left in J8nuary2025. Unlortun*ely.we have been unable tofind a replacement. However. many ol our
volunteers and Trustè$s h8ve raken on parts of the Co-ordinators roiewhich has proven benefrciel. It meèns we ere no
longer reliant on any one person. and my heartfeltthanksgo tothose volunteers and Trustees. The Food B8nk's locus 1$
nowon finding a Voluntèér Manager whose responsibilitieswill in¢iude ensuring we have ¢nough trained volunté6r$ to
overeveryjobwithin our team.
Ourcurrent referral systern has proven so eff8Ctive we have seen our client numbers tsll overthe y88r. We h8ve
witnes884 how happy clients 8rewtten they no longer need us ano it ooes wonders fortheir self.respact and ment81
healtm. While providing clientswittt emergencyt¢)o(t parcels weare also hewing ihem by referring or signpostingimem to
otheragències. This includes Citizens Advice. enertyand water provider5. Devon Countycouneil, and East Devon
Districi Council#epartments sucn as housingantt financial resilienceteam5. 8y helpingwith fin8nciai. housing an(J
other issues w8 tselie￿ 8re creating *stin8change in our communrty.

As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in
accordance with the requirements ofthe Charities Act 2011 ('the Att'l.
report in respect of my examination of the chartws financial statements carried out under
5ertion 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable
Direttions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515)Ibl of the Act.
Independent examinerfs statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention
in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in respert of the tharity as required by section 130 of the
Act; or
the financial statements do not accord with those records; or
the financial statements do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the
form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations
2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a
matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matter5 in connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understandin8 of the
accounts to be reached.
