Annual report for Friends of Fawley Church for Charity Commission – 30[th] September 2021
The Friends of Fawley Church was founded in February 2021 with the objective, ‘To preserve, maintain and enhance the ancient Church and Churchyard of St Mary the Virgin, Fawley as a place of worship and gathering for the greater benefit of the community’. We have had a successful first seven months raising a substantial sum of money from the village and developing a vision and plans for the re-ordering of the Church. We held a village meeting to discuss plans and there have been various events to further our mission as well we meetings with heritage bodies. We hope that the DAC will approve our plans early in 2022 so that the Church can once again be the heart of village life.
