On event days up to 15 volunteers assist at the bandstand with various tasks, to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors attending events. The total recorded hours of volunteer 3ttivrty for the period of this report was 2358 hours. Other Achievements and Perfonnance Summary of the main achsevements of the charity, identfying the drfference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wbder benefits to society as a whole. P•• 120 The charity continues to successfully work in partnership with Forestry England and Wert Dean Parish Council. During the period of this report, successful events were held at the bandstsnd, including for the first time, a classical concert. Income from attendees from incidental lotteries, donations. and refreshments totalled £3869. indicating the strong local support for the artivitie5 at the bandstand. The chafty continues to offer four musical events as 'free to attend,. This is considered important as the Forest of Dean is recognised as 'an area of social and economic deprivation,. Events at the bandstand also attrart visitors to the area. with up to 20% of the audien identifying as Visitors. Additional inforniation (optional) You ma choose to include further statements where relevant at4)ut.' During 2025 a new permanent canopy was erected at Scarr Bandstand. Arts Council England granted £74,195 towards the project and further grants were obtained from local organisations totalling £16,600. Friends of Scarr Bandttand contributed £9203.59. The new canopy negates the need for a temporary roof to be erected annually over the bandstand, thus reducing the need to seek grant aid to help fund events. The new canopy also allows for an extended season at the bandstand. with the possibiltty of more events bein8 added to the traditional six event5. The charity is now planning to install compostsble toilets at the bandstand and is currently working through the associated planning and fundin8 issues. Achievements against objecb'ves set

By ring-fencing donations and collectlons at events, the charity was able to save a sufficient sum for match funding for the new canopy. Rin8 fenced saving is continuing to ensure the new canopy is maintained and can be replaced at the end of its useful life. charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2026.
