1. Friends of Scarr Bandstand became a Registered Charity (CIO) on 27[th] January 2021. Friends of Scarr Bandstand previously existed as an unincorporated community group

2. In 2021 Friends of Scarr Bandstand was awarded an Arts Council England (ACE) Grant for the 2022 Summer Season. The Arts Council pays 90% of the grant before the season but withholds 10% until a report is completed and returned after the end of the events season. To receive the retention sum (£486), the Friends must spend to the agreed Arts Council budget which means spending the retention amount from Friends ‘unrestricted’ funds. The retention amount was recorded on receipt as ‘restricted’ funding in the Friends accounts. During this financial year the retention sum (£486) was transferred from ‘restricted’ to ‘unrestricted’ funds as recorded in section A5 of the Financial Statement.

3. Ticket sales (Theatrical Events). Ticket sales for theatrical events are made at the event on behalf of the production companies by the Friends. The production companies also offer tickets for sale before the events via their web sites. The charity benefits from a donation from the production companies based on ticket sales. Balancing payments are made to the production companies to align the value of the ticket sales with the donation amount agreed by the production companies.

4. Friends of Scarr Bandstand have no potential liabilities under guarantee outstanding at the date of the statement of assets and liabilities, 31[st] March 2024 (see Financial Statement).

5. Friends of Scarr Bandstand have no debts outstanding at the date of the statement of assets and liabilities, 31[st] March 2024 (See Financial Statement), which is owed by Friends of Scarr Bandstand, and which is secured by an express charge on any of the assets of Friends of Scarr Bandstand.
