**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE BRITISH HERNIA SOCIETY IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS ABOUT HERNIA SURGERY.

**Activities:** We run educational events, including courses and conferences, about the management of hernias for healthcare professionals.  We also provide online information for healthcare professionals, the public and patients on hernias and their management.  We are developing and registry to collect information on hernia surgery in the UK.
