Achievements and Performance

Para 1.20	Fundraising The Clubs activities are now getting back to usual after the pandemic. In partnership with St Augustine’s Church we held a Jubilee Concert in the Church which was well attended and enjoyed by the audience. The Christmas Float went ahead as usual in 2022 with the local Rotary Club being our partner as has been done in the past. We were also able to present Lesley Smith (Curator of Tutbury Castle) in her roles as Kathryn Swynford and Katherine of Aragon at St. Augustine’s Church with the help of the Church. The Club have arranged afternoon parties to assist McMillan Charity and the Alzheimer’s Society. With support from Amazon the Club again joined with St Augustine’s Church to hold a Coronation Concert in the run up to the Coronation which was hugely successful and very well received. Donations At Christmas we continue to collect new toys to give to local families who would otherwise be without. These are donated to local Church and Social Services. We did not have a Charity of the Year this year but have made several smaller donations to local charities and people needing assistance in their lives. £1000 was also donated to Lions Clubs International Foundation to assist with the Earthquake and Floods in Turkey. Service We help out at the Rugeley Community Gardens producing vegetables to be given to those in need and also to the Foodbank via

Rugeley in Bloom. We also join in with other organisations who ask us to help them.

Financial Review

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period	Para 1.21	We have had a most successful fundraising year which has had the effect of increasing our bank balance. We have agreed fundings to various people/organisations amounting to £2000 and are awaiting their request to pay out.

The charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising)	Para 1.47	Our major fundraising annual event is our Christmas Float – 10 evenings travelling around the local estates with a Santa and Sleigh on the back of a lorry. Funds are shared equally with Rugeley Rotary Club. The Club has organised presentations by the Curator of Tutbury Castle as historical figures (in costume) throughout history. Funds are shared with the local Church where the presentations are held. We also have a stands at fetes and fairs when permitted.
