The Trustees are elected by the members. ## **2) Objectives and Management** - (1) To advance the education of the public in maritime heritage through the prov museum and visitor centre and associated educational activities and to advan education of the public in the techniques and skills of maritime industry throu provision of workshops - (2) To preserve the artefacts, documents, pictures and skills of the shipyard work contributed to shipbuilding in Sunderland from 1346 until 1968 when the last closed. The Trustees have paid due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on p benefit in deciding what activities the Charity should undertake during the ye ## **3) Achievements and Performance** During the year, the Charity continued its restoration of MFV Willdora and wo an ex-Royal Navy Cutter and Foy Cobble. Plans were also put into place for th restoration of Sunderland's Pilot Vessel MV Wearmouth, the last remaining wo hulled pilot cutter in the UK.
