## 2017 - now 

- 2017 Rethinking Parks – Leeds Parks Fund 

- 2021 Love Leeds Parks established as a new Parks Foundation charity 





- 2021 Trustees recruited from Leeds Uni, National Trust, Future Parks, Becketts Marcomms with support from LCC Introduction to our Trustees - Love Leeds Parks 

- 2022 business-planning for 2023-6 




## Current Fundraising Campaigns 

**1. Community grants** , whereby Friends groups etc can apply for grants up to £2500 to help to achieve a local project 


**2. Woodland Creation** – contributing to Leeds City Council’s commitment to planting c6 million trees over 25 years 

**3. Larger projects** on specific sites, likely to repair paths in parks and woodlands which become so muddy, that it puts off some people from visiting, eg wheelchair users, people with mobility problems and those with pushchairs

## 2022+ – Parks for Nature & People 


- National Lottery Heritage Fund bid 

- Priorities – lowest access to greenspace (see map opposite) 

- Comms campaign on the need for nature 

- Grants planned for Summer 2022 (as per slide 3) 

- MOU with LCC (tree planting & general) 






## 2023-26 Plan 

**1. Consultation** – using digital tools to design ‘park on a page’ involving local people 

**2. Activation** – more activities to animate & sustain park activities 

**3. Enterprise** – ways of voluntary orgs to sustain activities + crowdfunding
