Activities

We are a group of volunteers called Colne in Bloom. Our aim is to keep our town looking alive with floral displays throughout the town. We plant towers, barrier troughs and hanging baskets through the main road of Colne and generally keep everywhere tidy. We raise money by fundraising namely tombola stalls. We get local primary schools involved in the gardening side of our volunteering work.

Objects: The Following Objects Are For The Public Benefit And Carried Our In Colne:-(1) To Promote The Conservation And Enhancement Of The Physical And Natural Environment For The Public Benefit, Primarily By Informing People About Its Relevance And Importance Within Their Communities;(2) To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Conservation, Protection And, Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment; And(3) To Promote Horticulture And Floriculture For The Benefit Of The Public By Providing And Encouraging The Provision Of Displays Of Flowers, Shrubs, Trees And Landscapes In Places Visible To The Public.nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable.”
