Gascoyne One Community Centre Annual ReporL Gascoyne One Community Centre is a Charitable Incorporated Organisats'on (CIO) which is run by residents of Gascoyne One Estate. We lease the community centre from Sanctuary Housing Association (SHA), a Registered Social Landlord. This is oui first year of full income from the hire of the community ntre. The income has been used to subsidise activities.. exercise classes. homework club. sewing club. and the occasiond evellL Community Lunches have almost broken even with grants from Hackney Council via HCVS with a token amount lor hall hire. We have a grant In place for next year which should cover the full cost. l of the work in running the hall. including bookings and most of the cleaning. is done voluntafily which is not sustainable bul we are keen to provide employment to those living on the estate. SHA continues to find it difficult to prowde repairs to the communty ntre under the Service Level Agreement that they have wrth us. SHA continues to cover the costs of energy, premises insurance and fire armS for which we continue to be very grateful. The trustees have insurance in pl for public lthility.
