Gascoyne One Community Centre Annual Report 2021 - 2022
This annual report is necessarily short as we still don't have the lease for the Community Centre that we were set up to run. We are continuing to press Sanctuary Housing Association for the lease and we expect this to happen in the coming year.
The Gascoyne One TRA has been running projects in the Centre since before Lockdown with Sanctuary's informal permission and management of some of these projects will be transferred to this Charity once the lease is granted.
In the meantime over the last year the Charity has been doing preparation work. We have opened a bank account, we have finalised the terms of the lease, we have started drawing up policies and procedures, we have drawn up a repairs schedule for the Centre and chased Sanctuary to get the repairs done.
We have also applied for grants on the basis that we can run some projects from the Centre with informal permission from Sanctuary on the same basis as the TRA. We have been successful in getting a Wick Award grant for Mindfulness sessions as well as some income for managing the hiring of the Centre to a film crew.
