(1) the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Summary of the objects of the Basis of Faith (appendix 1) primarily but not exclusively within charity set out in its Ashton-in-Makerfield Wigan and the surrounding neighbourhood; governing document and
- (2) such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the Charity Trustees, further the work of the Church

Hope Church, Ashton-in-Makerfield has been established to replace Hope Church, Ashton which was an excepted charity. However the transfer of Hope Church, Ashton’s assets was not completed before the end of the period to 31 December 2021. Therefore there was nil activity during the year. However, the charity trustees declare that we have run the charity in a way that carries out its purposes for the public Summary of the main benefit. activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
