OBJECTIVES AIYD ACTIVITIES The object of the charity is, for the public benefit. to advance the Chiistian faith in such ways as the charity trustees may from time to time decide throughout the United Kingdom. SIIMMARY OF THE MAIY AcT[￿.1T1Es UNDERTAKEN FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN RELATION TO THESE OBJECTS The organisation promotes the objective of the charity and the values of intercultural church through.. l. Intercultural Leadership development through re&￿Tar huddles & &iatherings 2. Inter¢ultural ￿'orship equipping Lhuiches to worship in dilTerent languages, styles and formats 3. Equipping churches for Inlercultural mission - church planting & evangelism 4. EnvisioninbJ Lhurches and individuals Summary of activities undertaken for the public benefit during the period.. • We ran regular gyroup training lo support and encourage leaders in developing intercultural expressions of church. These groups are open to church leaders and planters from any cultural background and c.hristian denomination. We ran a variety of online and ' in-person. events in collaboration with other Christian groups to envision and equip a wide range of Christian5 in inlerculiural ministry. The trustees have given consideration to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission. ACHIEVENIENTS AND PERFORMAYCE During this period we worked with core leadership team to define our core vaiues as follows. celebrating our cultural diversity leaming and cultivating cross-cultural understanding overcoming prejudi¢¢ and inequalities uniting in our shared faith discipling the nations among us to know and follow Christ INTERCULTURAL CHURCHES UK TRUSTEES REPORT YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024 . We have grown our national team which now comprises 10 experienced and gifted leaders who ale working together to equip others through regular huddles and training events. We held our first naiional team retreat tn January. Members of our team have spoken regularly at national conferences and universities, and engaged others in dialogue aboul inteiculturdl church across the UK. • During this period we ran 6 leadership huddles supporting and trainingy 35 intercultural leaders together with an inteicultural worship huddle training 7 leaders. We eng¥aged in educating vthcrs about the importance of intercultural work throug,h a rangje of dig?ital formals including podcasis with Welcome Churches and a video for ihe Evangelical Alliance One People Commission. • We hosted a key national interculiural conversation eveni with the Evan¥elical Alliance attended by 22 network and denominational leaders. Our songs2serve team has led worship at a number of nation￿ events. has run a number of equipping workshops and hosted an inlercultural worship event attended by 64 people. FINANCIAL REVIEW The Trustees have considered the risk to the charity's budget and future funding and have Set the followin¥ reserves poliLy' Maintain a minimum of £2500 in reserves as a contingency. If funds are in danger of fallin8 below this level, active step5 will be taken to closely manage cash flow. The reserves policy is reviewed each year as part of the annual financial procedures review. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Governing Document The Charity was set up by a Trust Deed as a charitable organisation registered with the Charity Commission on 15 January 2021 and is constituled as a CIO. Trustee selection methods As a new charity, the first charity Irustees were appointed on 15 January 2021. Unless the charity trustees decide otherwise. every subsequent charity trustee is to be appointed by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the Ch￿lty trustees. Independent Examiner Derby Community Accountancy Service are continuing in office as independent examiner for the ensuing year.
