in particular, but not exclusively, in Hyderabad
and surrounding areas by providing or assisting
in the provision of grants and essential

heatrthcare projects and all the necessary
support designed to enable individuals to
generate a sustainable income and be self-
sufficient.

l . EducationlTraining: This has been one of the
key area5 where Maahir charity ha5 focused on
since its early days- 35 Outlined in out
governance document.
Al In Hyderabad, India.. We have continued the
earlierwork on providing help and guidance for
medical students in India who are preparing for
the PLA8 exam- for medical graduates seeking
to come to UK fortraining and jobs within the
NHS. In addstion to this we have, as part of our
community get together event in Manchester
(June 20241, invited a speakerfrom the
Rahmani foundation

increase awareness among people associated
Wtth the Maahir group in UK about challenges
Wtth access to quality education in India. The
speakerhighlighted the step5 taken by Rahmani
foundation to address the challenge5 and
inspired people to artively participate in the
foundation's actNitiès.

UK there have been mentors identif led among
established professionals in drfferent f ields who
have guided the new migrants in various way5
intluding CV writing, Specific training programs
enrolment and interview practice.

2. Advancement of Health or Saving of ￿ve$-
This has been one of the key areas where
Maahir charity ha's focused on since tts eorly
day5- as outlined in out governance document.
In this year12024-20251, there have been funds
used for2 separate individuals in need. The first
one in April wa5for help with hospital expenses
I£I(KJO.001 for cancer treatment for a child and
the second one was for hospital expenses
I£I(X)O.001 for a person who needed surgical
treatment and rehabilitation after extensrve
trauma.
3. Communty development and Diversity
promotion".
In U K.. l June 2024 there was a social/cultural
event organised in Manchester. In this event
large number of families (about 400 adU￿S and
children) gathered for socialising over dinner
and a series of cultural events (quiz, poetry,
literary competitions) were organi5ed. Prior to
this event there were a series of cricket
matches organised between regional teams
across England as part of the sports and f rcness
promotion plan from Maahir group. These were
keenly contested games wrth a teamfrom
Manchester eventually being. crowned ad the
cricket league thampion.
On the day of the cultural event, we had
motwational Speake￿ plus prize distribution for
the winning individuals and teams.
4. Help in relief of poverty.. We have
ollaborated with an artive charity group in
India- the Zakat Foundation India
Ihttps'.//zakatindia.org.uk/l. This group shares
the same ethos as Maahir with its focus on
'critical humanitarian aid campaigns and
programs throughout India, concentrating on
Orphan Care. Education for deprived children,
the establishment of free health and wellness
clinics, particularly focused on women's care.
and Food Securiv. A f undraiserwas organised
for this organisation and money transferred for
use across I ndia by the Zakat Foundation group.
