Homersfield Community Park Report for the Annual Village Meeting May 2022
The charity is now called the Homersfield Community Park. We are greatly appreciate all Nick’s hard work and we’d like give our grateful thanks to him. The next step is to register the land as belonging to the charity, but if we cannot find sufficient evidence of the land being given for a playing field, or the evidence that the Land Registry will accept, we may have to consider adverse possession. We have asked the Parish Council to take on the land either to be kept as a playground or as a community space, but that would be the council’s decision and after the land has been registered. Any funds in our account would go with the land.
There are regular checks of the equipment and fences etc throughout the year by the trustees. These checks have shown that the equipment need repairing and the fence needs renewing. We have enough funds to fix the equipment or renew the fence – including the installation of safety gates, but not both so the trustees reluctantly decided to close the playground
There has been no fund raising this year and there is £1840 in the bank.
