The charity exists to build and maintain model
raihvay layouts to a high standard: to support
members with their own modelling. to develop
members, skills, including those of junior
members. and to exhibit and demonstrate layouts
to the public. The charity may undertake any
additional activities thal help achieve these
objectives.
The dub promtes public education and interest in
model railways, raI￿VayS and related pursuits, and
encourages a high standard of moddling among
its members.

made enquiries about joining. Several new

development of future exhibition layouts,
particularly Evercreech New and Heyno Junction.

YouTube.
The club maintains a website which outtines its
aims and provides a monthly blog to keep
members and the wder public info[r￿.

bulletin to ensure that memtws wrthout email or
internet access are kept up lo date wth club

running, aims and objectives of the Club.

Achievements and Perfomiance

The attendance of club members at public
exhibrtions, whether or not the club was
exhibiting its own layouls, helped to raise
awareness of the charity's work and encouraged
greater public interest in [al￿VaY rTh)delling.
Throughout the year, the club supported both
members and visitors by offering advice,
I guidan￿ and practical assistance in all aspects
of model railway construction. These activities
impToved participants, skills, confidence and
enjoyment, contributrng to wider community
engagement with the hobby.

During the period, expenditure ex￿eded income
by approximately £300. Cash reserves totalled
just over £9,598, which is above the level set in
our reserves policy. Non-cash assets consist
mainly of the club's layouts, which are difficult to
value due to the very limited market for large
model railway layouts.
The ttustees have agreed to hold reserves
equivalent to twice the charity's annual running
costs, excluding layout-related expendilure. This
level is considered necessary to ensure
continuity ot operations should the club lose
access to Its current premises..
