We endeavour<br>to do this by:<br>a) identifying patients with thymic<br>cancers and offering support throughout<br>their journey.<br>b) providing information resources for<br>patients, carers, and medical<br>professionals such as listing available<br>treatments, clinical trials, and the location<br>of thymic cancer specialists in the UK.<br>c) raising awareness of thymic cancers<br>among the general public, and medical<br>professionals.<br>d) promoting research into the causes,<br>detection, diagnosis, treatment, and<br>management of thymic cancers.<br>e) liaising with relevant organisations<br>such as the British Thoracic Oncology<br>Group (BTOG), the International Thymic<br>Malignancy Interest |Group (ITMIG), and<br>the pharmaceutical industry for the<br>advancement of knowledge and<br>treatment of thymic cancers.<br>f) liaising with and influencing key health<br>decision makers such as NICE and the<br>NHS in the UK.<br>g) facilitating fundraising to promote the<br>above objectives.<br>Summary of the main  Para 1.17 and  Between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022,<br>activities in relation to  1.19 ThymicUK has provided information and<br>those purposes for the  support to patients, carers, and medical<br>public benefit, in  professionals. We have seen a substantial growth in<br>traffic on the website, in the number of<br>subscribers to the mailing list, and in<br>people joining our support group. All the<br>above indicate that more people affected<br>by thymic cancers in the UK are becoming<br>aware of our existence and are reaching<br>out for support.<br>We organised two virtual meetings for the<br>support group; a social meeting on<br>14.06.2021, and a session with expert<br>speakers on ’responding to cancer, tips<br>for managing anxiety, depression, stress<br>and more’ on 30.11.2021.<br>We liaised with BTOG and ITMIG, amongst<br>others in preparation to co-organise the<br>first international Thymic Malignancy<br>Awareness Month to be held in May 2022.<br>As patient advocates, we attended the<br>BTOG virtual conference (22-23.04.2021)<br>and the ITMIG virtual conference (16-<br>17.10.2021).<br>We produced ThymicUK awareness<br>badges and ribbons and started to sell<br>these on our website and at fundraising<br>events.
